Roses has got a permanent spanish population, about 10 000 persons, besides several well-to-do foreigners. Roses is a big tourist resort in the summertime. Allthough with over a 100 000 visitors the city retains itŽs calmness. To travel from Barcelona to Roses: You can buy traintickets at the airport directly to Figueres. From the airport youŽll travel with the lokal train to Barcelona Sanchs, where youŽll have to change platform and train. The trains are fine. When the train arrives to Figueres, you will need to walk about 100 meters, slightly to the left, where you find the busstation. There you need to travel with the Sarfa-bus to Roses (or take a taxi if the last bus already has left for the day).
